One of the most famous beaches in the world has turned into a homeless encampment. The famed Venice Beach in Los Angeles, California has become unrecognizable to locals.
KNX 1070 NewsRadio spoke to LAPD Chief Michael Moore about the deterioration and how he is teaming up with the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department to clean up the beach.
“The sheriff does enjoy jurisdiction across the entire county for law enforcement matters,” Moore told KNX. “He enjoys a great deal of discretion, and he, in his department, as a leader can determine how and which laws they go about enforcing.”
Some police officials have blamed the homeless migration on the failings of local politicians. One councilman who represents the area said the involvement is deeply troubling.
“In Venice, we’re working to marshal resources to offer housing and services to hundreds of people living on the streets, “said Mike Bonin. “Villanueva has not offered actual help. This is a serious crisis. We need people interested in solving it, not exploiting it.”
Bonin blamed Fox News Host Tucker Carlson and KFI’s John and Ken for spreading “nefarious lies” about the situation at Venice Beach.“It’s a lot easier to and cheaper to house people without middlemen and guns,” tweeted Bonin.
Bonin represents a segment of political movement that wishes to use the rise of homelessness to push for government provided housing for everyone. They are absolute weasels as they publicly misrepresent their ultimate motive, and are content to let hoards live in abject misery and filth in the meantime. There’s solutions to address perhaps 80% of the homeless, which is evident by how low the homeless population was in LA county just 10 years ago. Yet any politician that suggests implementing this sort of solution again is literally screamed down by money driven homeless “advocates” that proclaim the exceptions the solutions won’t help.
Bonin has been councilman while his district is overflowing with homeless. He is utterly pathetic.
