Prominent Conservative Voices Feud on Instagram

Two of the most powerful Black conservative voices began feuding with each other on Instagram on Father’s Day.

Kimberly Klacik, a former Republican nominee for Maryland’s 7th Congressional District and political commentator, Candace Owens, who hosts a show on The Daily Wire, went back and forth about several topics.

Klacik garnered national attention for her political ad called “Black Lives Don’t Matter to Democrats.” The ad showed Klacik walking through the streets of violence ravaged Baltimore and asking residents if they wanted to defund police. Klacik pleaded with voters to turn against Democrats because of the inherent flaws in their policies.

On Sunday, Klacik said she was seeing a lot of comments asking her to address the “Candace Owens situation.” Klacik said that she has been working to get Owens elected to the U.S. House of Representative in 2022.

Owens reportedly invited Klacik to appear on her show, Candace. While it is not entirely clear what the two are feuding about, Klacik said that she would not appear on Owens’ show because “she doesn’t normally let people profit off of a conservation with her.”

“The show can be edited because it is streamed online,” Klacik said. “I would rather go Instagram Live with her so everybody can see the conversation in its entirety.”

Owens accused Klacik of disabling comments on the thread and not being authentic.

“LOL to you, disabling comments on your last post,” Owens wrote. “You are such a fake and hilarious person to keep trying to denigrate the Dailywire as a “computer show.” Computer shows – meaning, digital, podcasts, youtubers, etc. – have a larger reach than cable news, which I also go onto. Again, you are doing nothing here but exposing yourself.”

Thousands of comments were posted in support of both Klacik and Owens who are budding young stars in the Republican Party.
