Right-wing radio host Dan Bongino criticized a decision by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) that reverses the course on vaccinated Americans having to wear a mask indoors.
Bongino’s heated comments came during his nationally syndicated radio show Tuesday as he questioned why the government agency keeps backtracking on its stance on masks and vaccinated people.
“The CDC appears confused yet again,” Bongino said. “First, they said no masks, then they said masks, then they said mandate masks, then they said two masks, and then there were people in the mainstream media that were asking how many masks can we safely wear.”
CDC Director Dr. Rochelle Walensky said new data shows the delta variant behaves “uniquely differently” from its predecessors and could make vaccinated people infectious.
“If these things work, the face diapers, then why didn’t they work?”
Walensky used the new mandate as an opportunity to encourage people to get vaccinated while reiterating that the new guidance affects K-12 schools who must now wear a mask indoors, including teachers, staff, students, and visitors, regardless of vaccination status.
“You are sticking kids in these face diapers, and you have yet to produce a shred of damn evidence that these things work,” Bongino exclaimed.
