When a new season of Monday Night Football kicks off in September, radio listeners will hear a familiar voice hosting all of the action. Rich Eisen will join Westwood One for the company’s coverage of Monday Night Football.
Eisen will be the studio host for the broadcast. He will lead the pregame show, postgame show, and halftime. He makes his debut on September 13.
“Monday Night Football on Westwood One is one of the greatest hosting gigs in broadcasting and I’m honored to have the seat,” Eisen said in a press release. “The fact that I can expand my partnership with Westwood One beyond my daily show and podcast platform by talking even more football thrills me to no end.”
Currently, Westwood One’s relationship with Rich Eisen includes two podcasts and distribution of his radio show.
Westwood One will bring Eisen into its NFL fold before Monday Night Football starts. The NFL Network host will host studio coverage of the league’s opening night on radio. That game features the Dallas Cowboys’ visit to Tampa to take on the Super Bowl champion Buccaneers.
So I have not seen the NFL press release about this weekends HOF coverage on NFL network with Eisen hosting Olympic shows on Peacock will he be hosting the Gold jacket show and the coverage on Sat and Sun on NFL network. Also will Westwood One still have interviews with Brady given that this will displace Jim Grey as MNF host. I am not sure Brady has the same kind of relationship with Eisen.
