Former Fox News anchor Bill O’Reilly chimed in on the sexual harassment allegations towards now-former New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo. On Twitter, O’Reilly mentioned that the politician made some “deals” to avoid criminal charges.
“Cuomo quits as New York Governor. I suspect he made some “deals” with state authorities. Don’t expect criminal charges, but he’ll have a slew of civil suits,” O’Reilly tweeted.
Twitter decided to remind O’Reilly about his numerous lawsuits for alleged sexual harassment, where he has settled.
“Nobody knows sexual harassment like Bill O’Reilly, from the inside,” Miami radio host Grant Stern tweeted. Meanwhile, Reuters’ Jan Wolfe tweeted that O’Reilly should “should sit this one out.”
O’Reilly and Fox News have spent at least $45 million to settle multiple harassment suits against him.
The former host of “The O’Reilly Factor” was dismissed from Fox News in April 2017 following a New York Times report, which stated that the network had paid close to $13 million in settlements to at least five women who’d accused O’Reilly of sexual harassment.
