Don Lemon Baffled at People Taking Livestock Medicine Over Vaccine

CNN’s Don Lemon spotlighted incidents where some people declined to get a COVID-19 vaccine but are experimenting with drugs made for livestock.

Last week in Mississippi, officials had to release a statement due to 70-percent of recent calls to poison control were from people wrongly ingesting the medication. Furthermore, at least one person in the state had to be hospitalized for consuming ivermectin.

“There are people who don’t trust the vaccines,” Lemon said. “But they’re willing to try any wacky, fake cure they read about online or they see in right-wing media.”

Lemon went on to question the lengths some, who are against vaccines, would go where they’d poison themselves rather than the mere act of wearing a mask or getting the vaccine to limit themselves from contracting the coronavirus.

“So let me get this straight,” said Lemon. “Think about this, ok? You won’t get vaccinated. You won’t wear a mask. You said you’re worried about the FDA approval; you don’t know what’s in the vaccine. But you’ll take a drug meant for deworming livestock? Really? You’re gonna trust your health and your life to rumors and misinformation?”
