Clay Travis and Buck Sexton did not mince words Thursday while discussing several recent COVID-19 cases involving conservative talk show hosts and commentators.
The topic arose from the recent news that one of America’s top podcasters, Joe Rogan, was diagnosed with COVID. In April, Rogan was criticized for saying healthy, low-risk people shouldn’t be forced to get the vaccine
“There are a lot of people out there, Buck [Sexton], that would be very happy if Joe Rogan got covid, they want him to get deathly ill and/or even die because they don’t think he’s been a sufficient alarmist as it pertains to covid,” said Travis.
Thursday, Barrett NewsMedia reported that Rogan was taking various medications such as Z-Pak, prednisolone, and Ivermectin, which is the drug used to treat parasitic worms in horses.
“There’s actually a lot of very good reasons to take ivermectin and it’s an incredibly safe drug,” Sexton said.
Conservative talk show hosts around the country who have expressed concern about vaccine mandates have come under fire from left-leaning news outlets for promoting vaccine hesitancy.
“Ultimately, this is about taking away your freedom and trying to punish you for whatever you are doing that goes against the mainstream,” Travis said. “And that’s probably the wrong word. But the elite left-wing idea.”
