Pennsylvania talk show host Wendy Bell has been hired to host the morning show on Altoona’s Talk Radio 98.5.
Bell has been using her Facebook platform to reach thousands of people daily since she left WJAS-AM over a “personal matter” several months ago.
Bell parted ways with KDKA-AM last year over comments about park rangers shooting people who deface public monuments.
Her career started in television. In 2016, she was fired from WTAE-TV after 18 years when she made comments deemed racist on her official Facebook page following a mass shooting in Wilkinsburg in which five adults and an unborn child were killed during a backyard cookout.
Bell’s show is available on-air and on her new app which was downloaded 1,000 times in an hour on the same day it was released, according to her website.
Bell began hosting a show part-time for WJAS in January. Her career in television included 21 regional Emmy Awards.
