“The View” Not Forthcoming to VP’s Staff Over False Positive COVID Tests

Last Friday, Vice President Kamala Harris made an appearance on “The View,” but the interview with the show ended up not being done in-person as it was initially intended.

After co-hosts Sunny Hostin and Ana Navarro had false COVID-19 test results, the show went into chaos, pulling the two from the set. CNNs Oliver Darcy reports that “The View” hosts were required to take a PCR test within 24 hours of the interview.

The night before the Harris’ appearance, the tests had come back negative. The vice president and her staff didn’t know the truth until the tense moment on live television when Hostin and Navarro were abruptly removed.

Following the bizarre moment, the Harris’ team was left perplexed and inquired about what happened, considering a spokesperson for “The View” provided the “all clear,” implying that the show had completed the conditions to continue with the taping.

CNN is also reporting that someone familiar with the issue states that Harris and her staff are concerned with how “The View” handled the situation.

“According to a person familiar with the matter, “The View” has not been forthcoming with the vice president’s office, leaving Harris’ staff “deeply concerned” about what happened,” Darcy reported.

“People familiar with the matter also said that ABC News President Kim Godwin, who was in attendance for the taping, was irked and embarrassed by the whole fiasco.”
