If you attended the BSM Summit in 2020, you know that Pat McAfee has never been shy about saying that he doesn’t think he is very good on the radio. He is just there to have fun with his friends. If you’re entertained by that, that is just a bonus.
Before Friday’s show on YouTube and SiriusXM, he took to Twitter to say that he could not hold those around him back anymore. He would be letting them “spread their wings” without him. That meant he was looking for a new daily crew.
Pat McAfee has always been fiercly loyal to Boston Connr, Digz, Evan Foxy, Ty Schmidt and Zito. That was evident in a video from July of 2020 in which he rewarded his crew with bags of cash after he signed a deal with FanDuel. McAfee made it clear that his success and achievments are because of their hard work.
Fans may have had their hearts skip a beat, but by the end of the show, McAfee revealed that the who crew was indeed staying together and would be creating content every weekday.
It is hard to know if this was a gimmick played for clicks or a genuine plan to increase McAfee’s company’s content offerings. Pat McAfee isn’t part of the WWE broadcast team for nothing! At the same time, he never misses the chance to heap praise on his crew.
Whatever the case is, the final result is that the Pat McAfee Show will continue to air weekdays at noon eastern on YouTube and SiriusXM in its current form.
