Michael Silver has announced that he is no longer part of the NFL Network. He has some freelance projects in the works. He says more details are coming later.
Silver announced that he is doing some writing for Bally Sports. Two months ago it was announced that he would contribute some coverage of the Washington Football Team to the team’s website.
His first story for Bally came down on Tuesday afternoon. Silver reported that Texans chairman Cal McNair had been accused of using an anti-Asian slur at a team golf event. It was something that made many in the crowd uncomfortable.
There is no shortage of respect for Silver amongst fans and his peers in sports media. In addition to his time with NFL Network, he also spent 13 years with Sports Illustrated. He now hosts the Pass it Down podcast.
