NFL broadcasts on every network are experiencing major gains in 2021. For Monday Night Football on ESPN, December seems to be packing a little extra punch.
For the second week in a row, an audience of 15.9 million tuned in to the Monday night matchup. That means the Vikings win over the Bears delivered ESPN’s biggest Week 15 audience since 2011!
Three of the four biggest Monday Night Football games of the year came this month. Those three games have come each of the last three weeks. The season opener between the Raiders and Ravens in Las Vegas remains the biggest game of the year for the network.
Monday Night Football was once again, Monday’s most-watched primetime show across both broadcast and cable networks. ESPN hopes the viewership trend will continue next week when the Miami Dolphins visit the New Orleans Saints.
