After returning from their holiday break this week, “The View” announced that the program was heading back to a remote broadcast to respond to the latest Covid-19 surge in the country.
Furthermore, they also revealed that co-host Whoopi Goldberg tested positive for the virus. Well, it seems as though the show is down another co-host as panelist Sara Haines absent due to having come into close contact with Covid.
Co-host Joy Behar announced on Tuesday that “Sara was in close contact, so she’s not here. It’s like Agatha Christie, ‘And then there were three.” Haines’ spot on the show was filled on Tuesday by fill-in co-host Yvette Nicole Brown.
Behar added that Haines “feels fine” but that she’s “laying low today.” On Monday, Haines did appear on the show, and there are no details whether she’ll return for the remaining shows this week.
The panel on Tuesday consisted of Behar, Brown, Sunny Hostin, and guest co-host Ana Navarro. As for Goldberg, she’ll be out the rest of this week, and the plan is for her to join “The View” next week.
