CNN’s Jim Acosta took aim at Fox News star Tucker Carlson for broadcasting what he deemed was misleading information about COVID-19.
On Sunday, Acosta said the Surgeon General should issue a warning to Carlson’s viewers. “Tucker Carlson’s show should come with a warning about COVID disinformation.”
Acosta’s rant comes on the heels of Carlson reporting about a fully vaccinated nurse in the UK who contracted the coronavirus and was placed on a respirator for 28 days.
According to the New York Post, Monica Almeida, 37, a fully vaccinated nurse in the UK, spent 28 days in a coma after contracting the virus and was just 72 hours from having her ventilator turned off when she was saved by a “large dose of Viagra,”
“I suppose some people will justify those prescriptions with just about anything,” Acosta said. “Here’s a challenge to Tucker Carlson. Tell the American people if you have been double vaccinated and boosted.”
Acosta was joined by CNN medical analyst Dr. Jonathan Reiner
“That show has propagated myth and fallacy, and the phrase that you’ve sometimes used on this show, which I won’t use, which starts with bull, repeatedly,” said Reiner, referring to Acosta’s past comments calling Carlson’s program a “bullsh*t factory.”
