ABC7 Chicago reporter Jesse Kirsch will be moving to a new position as he joins NBC News. Kirsch will be based out of Cleveland as a correspondent, reporting across all NBC News and MSNBC platforms.
Kirsch started his career as ABC7 Chicago’s first digital reporter in 2017 before becoming a general assignment reporter two years later.
“I’m beyond lucky to count myself among those who can say they’re living their childhood dreams! So excited to announce I’ve become a [peacock emoji] and can’t wait to share stories with you,” Kirsch tweeted.
During his time at WLS-TV, Kirsch covered a wide range of stories, including the 2019 Dayton, Ohio mass shooting, the global pandemic, and Chicago’s social justice protests in 2020 following the murder of George Floyd.
Furthermore, Kirsch was also one of the first hosts of ABC’s Localish, a digital and network show featuring local stories from across the country.
