Fox News host Shannon Bream recently revealed how she shares motivation when addressing the next generation of journalists.
Bream appeared on “The Trey Gowdy Podcast” and said she often uses the inspiring story of Michael Jordan’s career to talk to interns at Fox News.
Michael Jordan was cut from his high school team in North Carolina, and he was told he was never going to play professional basketball.
“I always tell that story to our interns or when I speak at colleges or high schools because I want people to know, you know, listen, not everybody is going to get you,” Bream said. “Not everybody’s going to see your potential.”
Bream told Gowdy that she is honest with students and that they may face rejection on their way to the top. “You’re going to get a lot of no’s. You’ll get many more no’s than you’ll get yes’s. But it’s okay,” she said.
“There’s purpose in being humbled. There’s purpose in feeling like you’re treading water — like you’re learning from all of those things, and it will only make you more sure about your dream and what you’re trying to pursue,” Bream added.
