CNN will be welcoming a new conservative pundit beginning next month as Jonah Goldberg joins the network, per Adweek.
Goldberg will appear across CNN programming as the news networks expand their on-air contributor hires leading to the 2022 midterms. The editor of the National Review and founder of The Dispatch spent over a decade at Fox News News.
However, Goldberg left the network citing Tucker Carlson‘s special for Fox Nation called Patriot Purge, regarding the Jan. 6 mob attacking the Capitol as his primary motive for leaving Fox News.
Along with Goldberg, Stephen Hayes also left the network for the same season, and Hayes is now working at NBC News as their contributor. Nonetheless, Fox News stated they had no intentions of renewing their contracts.
In addition to Goldberg, CNN has signed various analysts, contributors, and commentators to beef up their midterm coverage heading into the elections later this year.
The network has hired former Atlanta mayor Keisha Lance Bottoms, Republican strategist and pollster Kristen Soltis Anderson, Loni Coombs, Beth Sanner, and David Zurawik.
