Ashan Singh Promoted to Multi-Platform Reporter for “Nightline”

ABC News is promoting “Nightline’s” Ashan Singh from his on-air contributor and segment producer position to a multi-platform reporter, a first for the show.

During his time with the show, Singh has tackled new and arising technologies, like the Web3 revolution and NFTs, to investigating neighborhoods rarely seen and often unheard, such as the Hmong community in Minneapolis during Sunisa Lee’s historic Olympic run.

“I am excited to announce that Ashan Singh has been promoted to multi-platform reporter for “Nightline,” Eman Varoqua, executive producer, said in a memo. “Over the past six years, Ashan has transitioned from production associate to working in a hybrid capacity as both an on-air contributor and segment producer for “Nightline.”

Ashan has also worked on the state of race relations in the United States. In addition, the new multi-platform reporter has dived into the tide of cannabis legalizations across the country, covering the request for restorative justice.

He most recently sat down with former Miami Dolphins head coach Brian Flores amidst his class-action lawsuit alleging systemic racism towards the NFL.
