Two former Carolina Panthers teammates are now partners in the podcasting world. Greg Olsen and Ryan Kalil are launching a new podcast studio called Audiorama and they have some heavy hitters helping them out.
Olsen and Kalil are partnering with actor Vince Vaughn on the project. They are being funded by Powerhouse Capital, who provided funding for Wondery, The Athletic, Calm, and MasterClass among other digital brands.
In order to get the studio’s offerings off the ground, they have turned to someone that has plenty of experience in the digital entertainment world. Mikey Fowler is joining Audiorama after leading Barstool Sports as the brand’s Director of Audio. Barstool grew to a top 5 podcasting network under Fowler’s watch.
The first show from the imprint will be Youth, Inc hosted by Greg Olsen. He will talk to families who have made a big impact in the sports world about the difference between the youth sports culture they grew up in and what their kids are experiencing now.
“Vince, Greg, Ryan, and I are dedicated to making Audiorama a podcast production company focused on building and developing each and every podcast we launch for the long haul rather than short term,” said Fowler. “We look forward to entering the playing field with top-notch shows like Youth. Inc and distributing the kind of programming that audiences and advertisers alike crave. Audiorama is positioned to be a frontrunner in podcasting.”
