A network that calls itself the world’s largest Christian television broadcaster is launching a new show with familiar faces who have spent time with Fox News.
Trinity Broadcasting Network (TBN) is debuting a news show called “Centerpoint,” which was first reported by Axios. TBN wants to construct a “Christian lifestyle brand” instead of just “preaching and teaching,” VP of Marketing Nate Daniels for the company told Axios.
“Centerpoint” will air at 7:30 p.m. ET on weekdays, with the replay of the show coming at 10:30 p.m. ET so that West Coast audiences get it at 7:30 p.m. their time. TBN also has plans to add another half hour to the show in the fall.
The show will be anchored by former Fox News Washington correspondent Doug McKelway and produced by Michael Clemente, former Newsmax CEO and Fox News EVP of News.
The programming isn’t meant to be politically biased; however, it does lean into Christian values and “will cover news of the day and other top stories.”
Eduardo Razo is the Assistant Content Editor for BNM, which includes writing daily news stories on the news media industry. He can be found on Twitter @eddierazo_ or you can reach him by email at eddie1991razo@gmail.com.
Thank God for this Christian focus of daily news. However, please remember to invite and include all
Biblical Minority analysis in your
Program. I have lived long enough to realize ‘the lived experiences’ of some minority groups are different than the majority “lived experiences” and must be included.
True analysis of daily news must include all Christian prisms.
I am available and would appreciate a call to participate.
I am a full-Gospel professional minister and pastor. I am a minority and would bring analysis of news through this perspective, however according to the Holy Spirit (Acts 1:8;10;19.)
