Fox News Correspondent Benjamin Hall Injured in Ukraine

Fox News announced that foreign correspondent Benjamin Hall was injured while newsgathering outside Kyiv, Ukraine on Monday.

An internal memo obtained by Barrett News Media said Hall was hospitalized but did not elaborate on the severity of his injuries. “The safety of our entire team of journalists in Ukraine and the surrounding regions is our top priority and of the utmost importance,” said FNC CEO Suzanne Scott.

Over the past three days, at least three reporters have been injured while covering the war. Former New York Times contributor Brent Renaud was killed in Irpin, Ukraine.

“This is a stark reminder for all journalists who are putting their lives on the line every day to deliver the news from the war zone,” said Scott.

Fox News national correspondent Bill Melugin sent the news out via Twitter. “Please say a few prayers for our @FoxNews colleague @BenjaminHallFNC, who was injured today while news gathering outside of Kyiv. He is hospitalized right now, and we have no further details at the moment.”

According to the network, Hall has been reporting on the war from Kyiv, which Russian forces have been attempting to encircle and capture for weeks. He has three young daughters at home.

“We will update everyone as we know more. Please keep Ben and his family in your prayers,” added Scott.
