While Fox News employees were mourning the loss of warzone cameraman Pierre Zakrzewski Tuesday, CEO Suzanne Scott announced a second death related to the incident that left foreign correspondent Benjamin Hall hospitalized.
Oleksandra “Sasha” Kuvshynova died alongside Pierre when incoming shots hit their vehicle; she was 24. Kuvshynova becomes the third member of the media to be killed covering the war in Ukraine this week.
Martha MacCallum, speaking on her show “The Story with Martha MacCallum,” shared a photo of Kuvshynova working alongside Zakrzewski and Trey Yingst.
“Sasha was serving as a consultant for us in Ukraine,” MacCallum said. “FOX News Media CEO Suzanne Scott says Sasha was helping our teams navigate the city, gather news and speak with sources. Working around the clock, she helped to share Ukraine’s story with the world, and we are grateful to her for that.”
MacCallum extended her condolences to the families of Kuvshynova and Zakrzewski.
And we ask you to think of them, to keep them in your prayers as they struggle with the loss of their young daughter. Just 24 years old doing courageous, courageous work.”
“We await more news, which we will share with you when we can, on the condition of our Benjamin Hall,” she added.
