The Daily Wire is investing $100-million to produce children’s content as they look to challenge the Walt Disney Company and provide an alternative.
“Americans are tired of giving their money to woke corporations who hate them,” The Daily Wire co-CEO Jeremy Boreing said. “They’re tired of giving their money to woke media companies who want to indoctrinate their children with radical race and gender theory.”
“But they want to do more than just cancel them. They want alternatives. The Daily Wire is giving them those alternatives.”
In recent weeks, Disney was in the middle of a political firestorm over its executives’ muted reaction to the so-called “Don’t Say Gay” bill recently signed into law by Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis.
Furthermore, the former CEO of Disney, Bob Iger, spoke with Chris Wallace on CNN+, stating these issues aren’t political and more about right and wrong.
“A lot of these issues are not necessarily political,” Iger said. “It’s about right and wrong. So I happened to feel, and I tweeted an opinion about the ‘don’t say gay’ bill in Florida. To me, it wasn’t about politics. It is about what is right and what is wrong, and that just seemed wrong. It seemed potentially harmful to kids.”
