Keith Olbermann Hints at Attempt to Rejoin MSNBC

Former MSNBC host Keith Olbermann is stirring things up again. On Monday, he tweeted about his failed attempt to rejoin his old network after reacting to Rachel Maddow’s comments regarding the future of her daily show.

Maddow told her audience that she would only be hosting her show once a week, eliciting a response from Olbermann who was abruptly fired from the network 11 years ago and replaced by Maddow.

“Relevant again, in light of tonight’s @msnbc #Maddow news. I tried,” Olbermann tweeted in reference to a tweet he sent out last month explaining how talks with NBC ran hot and cold.

Maddow reportedly vetoed Olbermann’s return to MSNBC after she inked a multi-extension worth $30 million.

“I will be here this month, Monday through Thursday nights, and then starting next month, starting in May, I’m gonna be here weekly,” Maddow said. “I’m gonna be here on Monday nights, again, to give myself just more time to work on some of the other stuff that I’ve got cooking for MSNBC and NBC.”

In March, Olbermann told The Daily Beast that MSNBC management was “worse than asleep at the switch.”
