MSNBC on Peacock will have a new executive managing producer as it announced that Raelyn Johnson is taking over the role, per TV Newser. Johnson is currently the executive producer of Zerlina (the streaming news show hosted by Zerlina Maxwell).
In her new position, Johnson’s responsibilities will be to oversee special news coverage, midterm elections coverage, and special content for the streaming platform.
The content that Johnson will manage includes MSNBC on Peacock specials from Nicolle Wallace, Richard Engel, Michael Beschloss, and more that will arrive in the coming days.
“As we welcome more hosts, shows, and production teams into the world of streaming news on Peacock, Raelyn will be crucial in helping us grow and evolve,” MSNBC on Peacock Senior EP Laura Conaway said.
“If you’re thinking of a one-off or a series for streaming, Raelyn Johnson, executive managing producer, is your first stop.”
The new executive managing producer has been with MSNBC since 2015 and has served as the executive producer of Maxwell’s show on Peacock since its launch in October 2020.
