WBAL Earns National Headliner Award for Its Morning Show, Documentary

WBAL NewsRadio news program “WBAL News Now at 5 am” celebrates some national recognition. The morning show earned first-place honors in the radio Newscast category of the National Headliner Awards this week, per Radio Ink

The Baltimore-based morning show at WBAL wasn’t the only content at the radio station to receive some honors at the Headliner Awards. WBAL NewsRadio also garnered acclaim in the Radio Documentary/Public Affairs category for the special “Baltimore’s Battle Against Crime,” produced by reporter Phil Yacuboski.

The National Headliners is one of the oldest and largest annual contests identifying journalistic excellence in the communications industry, with almost 2800 medallions given to the newspaper, radio, television, and digital content creators.
