On Monday, MovieWeb reported that there would be no fourth season for Vice’s most popular series Dark Side of the Ring. The site cited the facts that the show was not part of what was presented for the network’s 2022-23 schedule and that Vice has not ordered new episodes of the show.
Tuesday morning, Vice issued a statement on Twitter saying that report was false.
There have been three seasons of Dark Side of the Ring. Each one set viewership records for the network. The number of episodes ordered increased from six for season one to ten for season two and fourteen for the final season.
The statement seems to indicate that there are bigger plans for the franchise. Vice has already presented Dark Side of Football and Dark Side of the 90s. It will be interesting to see where the network decides to go next and just how long we will be waiting for another season focused on professional wrestling.
