Newsmax announced that Greta Van Susteren will host a GOP debate Wednesday involving the top contenders for Pennsylvania’s open U.S. Senate seat. The event will take place on the campus of Grove City College in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.
“Pennsylvania is one of the most important states on the national map,” Chris Ruddy, Newsmax CEO said in a statement on the network’s website. “And this race will have national implications, so we’ll be hosting this Newsmax debate live for all Americans to watch.”
The debate will feature Dr. Mehmet Oz, who recently received a highly scrutinized endorsement from former President Donald Trump. Other candidates include David McCormick, Ambassador Carla Sands, Kathy Barnette, and Jeff Bartos.
A recent poll indicates that Oz was leading the pack with 23%. But other recent polls have had McCormick, former undersecretary of the Treasury for the George W. Bush administration, ahead.
The GOP Senate seat is currently occupied by Pat Toomey, 60, who announced he will not seek re-election this year.
The debate will take place at 8pm ET Wednesday. You can find Newsmax TV — Here
