Conservative talk show host Larry Elder will join Epoch Media Group (EMG) as a television host on Epoch TV. Talkers Magazine first reported the story Wednesday.
Elder hosted a nationally syndicated radio show for Salem Media Network for six years before taking a break to join California’s gubernatorial race during last year’s recall election.
EMG is an independent news organization, which includes the newspaper The Epoch Times and the TV network NTD. The Epoch Times is published in 21 languages, in 33 countries.
Elder will reportedly host a live, streaming show four times a week and a podcast which will originate from Los Angeles. Known as the “the Sage from South Central” and “America’s truth detector” Elder was a legend in Southern California’s radio landscape for two decades on TalkRadio 790 KABC.
“In a day and age of sensationalist and emotionally charged news coverage, Elder uses the facts – with humor and insight – to break down the nation’s current events and most urgent issues,” EMG CEO John Tang told Talkers.
“I’m excited to join The Epoch Times. I’m impressed by the newspaper’s courage and willingness to speak the truth to promote liberty and freedom,” added Elder.
