The View Takes Jab at Herschel Walker for Pollution Claims

The midterm elections are around, and as a result, there’s plenty of discussion regarding various candidates. One of the higher-profile candidates running for office this November is former NFLer Herschel Walker.

During a segment on “The View,” the panel had no kind words for Walker, who recently made headlines for his remarks on pollution. “When China gets our good air, their bad air got to move,” Walker said and argued that that “bad air” then “moves over to our good air space.”

When hearing those remarks, Goldberg was at a loss for words; she said, “I don’t know where his good brain cells moved to.” She then handed it over to her guest co-host Ginger Zee, asking if she could “please, please take it,” given her experience in meteorology.

“Pollutants — and I just got back from cancer alley — they can travel far, but most of the time, the concentrations that are gonna cause issues stay within a quarter to a couple of miles,” she explained, per The Wrap

“What I think he was not meaning to say, but is correct about air moving from China to the U.S., are greenhouse emissions. Which, by the way, we are not clean. The United States holds the legacy load. We are the ones that have polluted the most over time.”

Walker is running for election to the U.S. Senate to represent Georgia in November after advancing in the Republican primary on May 24, 2022.
