Tesla CEO Elon Musk and Donald Trump continue their war of words. It all began when the former commander-in-chief called out the entrepreneur for backing out his deal to buy Twitter.
Afterward, Musk would fire back, saying that Trump needs to ride into the sunset rather than push for a presidential run in 2024. It didn’t take long for the ex-president to fire back again on his social media platform Truth Social.
“When Elon Musk came to the White House asking me for help on all of his many subsidized projects, whether it’s electric cars that don’t drive long enough, driverless cars that crash, or rocketships to nowhere, without which subsidies he’d be worthless,” Trump wrote.
“And telling me how he was a big Trump fan and Republican, I could have said, ‘drop to your knees and beg,’ and he would have done it…”
Furthermore, Trump advised Musk, telling him that his focus should be on the entire situation with Twitter, which announced Tuesday that they were suing the Telsa CEO to have the $44 billion deal go through.
Musk did respond to the remarks made by the former president, simply laughing and using the Abe Simpson yelling at clouds GIF to sum up his thoughts on what Trump said.
