Chris Cuomo is still a free agent after being fired from CNN for allegedly using his position to influence the outcome of sexual misconduct claims made against his brother, former New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo.
According to Outkick, Cuomo is reportedly in talks with NewsNation to make his return to television. The network is owned by NexStar Media Group and is headquartered in Chicago, Illinois.
Speculation about Cuomo’s return has been building following an Instagram post last week that read, “something’s coming…Summer 22.”
After months of social media silence, Cuomo posted pictures from Ukraine further prompting critics to ponder what his future held.
“In Ukraine. We can not forget. Russians are apparently targeting civilians,” Cuomo said.
“I was here with my brother Sean Penn who is working on a film showing the reality and helping the hurting with relief org CORE. He interviewed President [Volodymyr] Zelensky who pleaded for more from the U.S. – from anyone,” he added.
NewsNation President Michael Corn is reportedly pushing to sign Cuomo. The pair had previously worked together at ABC.
Cuomo was terminated from CNN on Dec 4, 2021.
