iHeartMedia Names Taylor Walet Nebraska, Iowa Area President

iHeartMedia has a new president for their Nebraska/Iowa region as the company announced the promotion of Taylor Walet to the position.

Walet had been serving as Area President for Nebraska, supervising the Omaha and Ogallala, NE and Sioux City, IA markets since January 2020, and now will oversee the entire area rather than select cities.

“We have an exceptional team of talent and leaders throughout the states of Nebraska and Iowa,” Shosh Abromovich, Division President for iHeartMedia Multi-Platform Group, said in a statement.

“The synergy of this new Area will help drive additional cohesion and shared success. Taylor’s leadership skills, focus on a collaborative and winning culture, along with attention to our local communities, will drive more success across these six markets.”

Walet brings plenty of experience as he has been with iHeartmedia since 2007, initially serving as the Omaha Market President. He will now succeed Joel McCrea, who served as Iowa Area President.

“I am very excited to partner with Joel McCrae and the rest of our iHeartMedia Iowa leadership team to take advantage of the strengths that Iowa and Nebraska can maximize by working together,” Walet said.

Some news/talk stations Walet will oversee are 1430 KASI and 1110 KFAB.
