ESPN continues to see positive ratings trends for their morning debate show First Take.
For August (8/1-8/26), First Take’s audience grew by 12% as compared to last year’s same period. The show averaged 323,000 viewers. That also marked First Take’s most-watched August since 2019.
First Take also saw success with their two on-site shows during the month. The August 25 episode from The Star in Frisco for the Dallas Cowboys inaugural Blue Carpet and Season Kickoff event saw a spike in viewers of 29% from last year’s comparable show. It was also First Take’s most-watched episode since June.
When the show celebrated the return of Stephen A. Smith with an episode from a yacht on the Hudson River, the show also gained viewers. That edition jumped 5% year-over-year.
