CNN’s ‘Reliable Sources’ Newsletter Has Return Date

CNN canceled the Sunday morning show “Reliable Sources” leading to the exit of its host Brian Stelter.

Nonetheless, the newsletter will progress as The Hollywood Reporter reported Tuesday that the network is ready to unveil the new version.

The new version of the widely read tip sheet is led by senior media reporter Oliver Darcy and will return with a new look and format on Monday, Sept. 26.

Darcy tells THR that the new “Reliable” newsletter will have a “more concise format.” However, it will “continue to tackle issues relating to newsrooms, partisan media, social media, podcasts, and streaming services.”

It will also “continue to pay close attention to industry titans who are reshaping our information environment.” Additionally, the entirely new “polished” visual identity, from the logo to the newsletter’s structure, will be organized around specific blocs so readers can quickly find the section they want to read.

Although the newsletter is back, the frequency in which it is published will be different. Stelter and Darcy shared responsibilities, but with Darcy now commanding the newsletter, it will be four weekly issues, Monday-Thursday.
