Fox News has a new night anchor as Trace Gallagher takes over for Shannon Bream in the “Fox News @ Night” chair.
Gallagher will take over the nightly newscast on Oct. 3, anchoring from the network’s Los Angeles bureau, but he will continue as Fox News’ chief breaking news correspondent.
“When it comes to breaking news coverage, Trace Gallagher is one of the best in the business and having a seasoned journalist at the helm of this hour ensures our viewers unrivaled 24/7 news coverage,” Suzanne Scott, CEO of FOX News Media, said in a press release obtained by Barrett News Media.
Since its launch in 2017, “Fox News @ Night” had been hosted by Bream; however, she recently left the show to serve as the host of “Fox News Sunday.”
“It’s an honor to lead Fox News @ Night and I look forward to breaking down the major headlines for our audience across the country every evening,” Gallagher said.
Gallagher brings plenty of experience to the hosting chair as his reporting has taken him throughout the Middle East and the tsunami in Southeast Asia. Furthermore, he also co-anchored “The Live Desk” alongside Martha MacCallum.
