The midterm elections are right around the corner, and voters are heading to the polls in November for many reasons. Former radio host Joe Walsh believes GOP voters will be heading to the ballot box with anger and fear.
Walsh stated on Twitter that many voters on the right will be voting with these emotions is due to Fox News’ Tucker Carlson. He noted that the host knows how to tap into the base’s feelings more than anyone not named Donald Trump.
“I speak with GOP base voters every day,” Walsh tweeted on Monday. “Nobody besides Donald Trump channels these voters better than Tucker Carlson does.
“Their anger. Their fear. Their paranoia. Their enemies. Their bigotry. If you want to know where the GOP base is & what we’re up against, just watch Tucker.”
Carlson has a large audience for his Fox News show, so the host greatly influences his viewers. So it is no surprise that outside of the former president, Carlson is a voice that many GOP voters listen to when weighing their voting options.
Whether it be the topic of abortion, illegal immigration or other causes, many will be turning out to vote. But, if Walsh is accurate with his remarks, GOP voters will use their emotions when heading to the polls.
