Former MSNBC host and current podcaster Keith Olbermann hasn’t been shy of criticizing CNN under its new president Chris Licht. Now Olbermann is again going after the network once again for its coverage of Senate candidate John Fetterman’s (D-PA).
On Twitter, he responded to a screenshot of CNN’s broadcast discussing a developing story on Fetterman needing closed captions to understand conversations.
Additionally, CNN’s Dr. Sanjay Gupta was holding up a brain as a prop to discuss the matter, causing many, including Olbermann, to respond to the segment.
“We are sucking up to Chris Licht and the fascists,” Olbermann tweeted on Wednesday. “Now do Herschel Walker’s brain. If any.”
CNN isn’t the only network receiving criticism for its Fetterman coverage, as podcast host Kara Swisher has slammed NBC News’ Dasha Burns for her comment about Fetterman.
Burns stated that “in small talk — before the interview, without captioning — it wasn’t clear [Fetterman] was understanding our conversation,” resulting in Swisher slamming the NBC News reporter.
“Sorry to say but I talked to @JohnFetterman for over an hour without stop or any aides and this is just nonsense,” Swisher tweeted. “Maybe this reporter is just bad at small talk.”
