On Friday, syndicated radio host Buck Sexton called for the current president of the United States, Joe Biden, to be impeached, resulting in Roland Martin firing back at his claim.
Sexton initially tweeted that Biden’s team violated free speech principles to suppress disfavored speech- especially as it connected to their election prospects, adding that these acts should lead to the president being impeached.
Additionally, Sexton shared an opinion piece published in The Wall Street Journal by Vivek Ramaswamy and Jed Rubenfeld regarding how Twitter has become a tool for the government. The article details journalist Alex Berenson returning to Twitter after being banned for nearly a year over Covid-19 “misinformation.”
The radio host’s remarks generated plenty of reaction from people on both sides of the aisle, one of them being Martin, who didn’t hold back with his response to Sexton.
“This dude @BuckSexton is truly an idiot,” Roland Martin said on Twitter. “He wants Biden impeached for something he didn’t do when he WASN’T president. No wonder you got paired with @ClayTravis. Just DUMB.”
