NBC News Now’s 8 p.m. hour has a new host as the company has tapped correspondent and the co-host of Snapchat’s “Stay Tuned” Gadi Schwartz to be the new host (h/t TV Newser).
Schwartz will lead a new program on NBC News’ ad-supported streaming service, “Now Tonight with Gadi Schwartz,” who replaces Joshua Johnson, whose 8 p.m. NBC News Now show was canceled last month.
The new show that now features Schwartz will debut in February with NBC News Now executive in charge Janelle Rodriguez of the show that is airing from Los Angeles.
Furthermore, the program will be one of the only national news broadcasts emanating daily from the West Coast. Along with serving as the host of “Stay Tuned,” he’s also hosted The Overview on Peacock and already appears on NBC News Now.
Since joining NBC News in 2016 as a correspondent, he has covered various pressing topics across all NBC News platforms.
