Listeners to 98.5 The Sports Hub will have less Tony Massarotti than they are used to. The afternoon co-host revealed that he had a health scare during the holidays. As a result, he will have to miss some upcoming editions of Felger & Mazz.
“They required my immediate attention, we addressed them, and I feel good about it. But I’m also going to have to [pace myself] getting back to work here on the advice of people who have been taking care of me,” he said on air Monday.
Before he took time off for the holidays, Massarotti threw up while doing an episode of the show. He had to run tot he bathroom in the middle of a segment. He has been out since mid-December. He says that some listeners have reached out to make sure he is okay.
Tony Massarotti says his schedule will “be staggered” in the coming weeks.
He also revealed that he will not be back with NESN for the upcoming baseball season. During 2022, Massarotti served as an analyst for more than 30 Red Sox games on the network last season.
