MSNBC’s Chris Hayes is taking a dig at those behind the scenes producing “Tucker Carlson Tonight.” A clip from a recent episode found itself on Twitter, where Carlson discussed the changes coming to M&M’s.
“Woke M&M’s have returned; the green M&M got her boots back but apparently is now a lesbian, maybe,” Carlson said. “And there’s also a plus-sized obese purple M&M, so we’re going to cover that, of course, because that’s what we do.”
However, Hayes said on Twitter that Carlson was being snarky to his producers when teeing up the topic for his next segment.
“I can say from personal experience the “because that’s what we do” has all the hallmarks of a barb directed at whatever producer wanted to do this story,” Hayes said Thursday on Twitter.
Candy maker Mars revealed that the limited edition all-female pack will contain only Purple, Brown and Green — the candy’s trio of female characters, who are upside-down on the package — to “celebrate women everywhere who are flipping the status quo.”
“The M&M’S brand is on a mission to use the power of fun to create purposeful connections, as we work to create a world where everyone feels they belong,” Gabrielle Wesley said.
