Will Cain: The Twitter Files Story Has Been ‘Blacked Out’ By Media

On Friday, Fox News personality Will Cain spoke to Outkick’s Tomi Lahren on her “Tomi Lahren is Fearless”podcast. The pair were discussing recent developments in Congressional testimony involving former Twitter executives who came before the House Oversight Committee to discuss the platform’s role in suppressing New York Post articles in 2020 about contents of a laptop owned by President Joe Biden’s son, Hunter Biden.

“The Twitter Files story has not been something that has reached the mainstream media,” said Cain. “That’s because there’s been a blackout when it comes to the mainstream media, which is corporate media outside of Fox News. CNN, MSNBC, the New York Times, the Washington Post, this story does not exist.”

Cain said regardless of one’s perspective on a matter, it is important for media outlets to cover these issues in a balanced and nuanced manner.

“Is what we saw [from Congressional testimony] going to break through to the drive-by consumer?” Cain said. “I can only hope because it is so important, it is such a big deal, it is literally the matrix. I am not incredibly optimistic.”

Cain said whether these individuals will be prosecuted depends on the outcome of any ongoing investigations. Some people have accused former Twitter executives of election interference, as the story broke during the election and its suppression could have affected the outcome of the election.

“What I do hope for is blinders to be lifted,” he said. “I do hope accountability comes into form. The next story is how the other side abridges the First Amendment which is the deep state, the FBI, and the intelligence apparatus that encouraged the silence of Americans.”

Will Cain is a co-host of “FOX & Friends Weekend” on FOX News Channel and hosts the “The Will Cain Podcast” on FOX News Audio. He is known for his unique perspective and insights, as well as his ability to merge the worlds of news and sports.
