After announcing its new primetime lineup yesterday, Fox News has reportedly let go the entire staff of the former Tucker Carlson Tonight program.
Chadwick Moore — Carlson’s biographer — tweeted yesterday after the new lineup was announced that he was told by several sources that the network was removing all the former employees who worked on Carlson’s show.
Former CNN media reporter Brian Stelter then shared that he was told Fox News executives want a “clean slate”.
According to Moore, Fox News offered the departing employees an “enhanced severance” if they remained with the network through Friday, July 14th, which will be the final episode of Fox News Tonight.
The employees who were informed of the layoffs were also told they still have the opportunity to apply for open positions at Fox News.
Several former Carlson staffers have exited the network in recent weeks. Alexander McCaskill notably departed the network after being held responsible for airing a Fox News Alert that called President Joe Biden a “wannabe dictator” after former President Donald Trump was arrested and arraigned in Miami for his handling of classified documents.
