Conservative radio host Todd Starnes celebrated the anniversary of his current program on Wednesday, July 5th, and mentioned that there were many who viewed his exit from Fox News as the potential end of his career.
However, The Todd Starnes Show host argued that the insinuation couldn’t be further from the truth.
“Welcome to the Todd Starnes radio program. We’re celebrating our six-year anniversary today. You know, it’s funny. A lot of people said, ‘Starnes, when you leave Fox, that’s gonna be it. When that’s it, you’re done. You’ve reached the zenith of your career and you’re done’. Well, it turned out that that was not the case,” revelled Starnes. “We actually are broadcasting on more radio stations now than I ever was when I was working at Fox News. We have seen tremendous growth. And the only people responsible for that are you.
“We have the greatest audience in all of talk radio, and I just want to say thank you, and especially those folks who have been with us from day one…We’re just honored that so many of you call in and but anyway, today we’re celebrating our six-year anniversary and I just want to say thank you for that.”
The 55-year-old Starnes — who now owns and operates Memphis news/talk station KWAM — hosted Fox News & Commentary with Fox News Radio from 2005 until 2019.
