620 WTMJ has announced an altered daily lineup that will begin on Tuesday, July 11th.
Wisconsin’s Morning News with Vince Vitrano and Erik Bilstad will now air from 6:00-9:00 AM, shifting from its usual start time of 5:00 AM. The now-vacated hour will focus on local news report until Vitrano and Bilstad begin.
A new show called WTMJ Now will feature Sandy Maxx and Steve Scaffidi from 9:00 AM-Noon. Scaffidi had previously hosted the timeslot solo. Maxx shifts from the station’s afternoon show, after joining 620 WTMJ in December.
“I’m truly delighted to embrace this new opportunity at WTMJ and Good Karma Brands,” Maxx said. “Spending mornings co-hosting WTMJ Now with Steve will be a great way to create informative and entertaining conversations that can connect people.”
“I’m excited to launch our new show next week alongside Sandy. She brings immense talent and creativity to WTMJ, as well as her love of Milwaukee and Wisconsin,” Sacffidi added. “Whether it’s her love of the arts, or her passion for pop culture and music, I can’t wait to have her as a partner on our new midday show.”
Replacing Maxx on Wisconsin’s Afternoon News is longtime WTMJ host Greg Matzek. The station’s sportscaster will join John Mercure for the new afternoon show. The show will remain in the 3:00-6:00 PM timeslot. Jeff Wagner will also stay in the 12:00-3:00 PM window.
