Ray Epps has been the center of a theory from former Fox News host Tucker Carlson that he believes shows the government was behind the January 6th Insurrection. Epps has since filed a defamation lawsuit against both the host and the network, and MSNBC host Joe Scarborough believes it’s a slam dunk case.
During Thursday’s edition of Morning Joe, Scarborough commented on a story presented by Willie Geist
Scarborough stated that “His life has been ruined,” which he believes proves Epps’ defamation case.
“I’m telling you, if I’m representing Fox News, I’m saying, ‘Get your checkbook out and start writing’,” Scarborough said.
“They’ve already had to a few times,” added co-host Mika Brzezinski.
“They’re going to have to do it again, and Tucker Carlson is probably going to do it again because this guy isn’t a public figure,” an incensed Scarborough said. “It’s not going to be hard for him to prove defamation.”
Epps claims he has received death threats after the reports from Fox News and Carlson. He also alleges that he was forced to sell his home and live in an RV to avoid confrontations with conspiracy theorists.
