Glenn Beck: Coverage of TheBlaze Presidential Forum Was Unfair

TheBlaze founder Glenn Beck has taken issue with reporting surrounding a conference televised by the company and hosted by Tucker Carlson last week.

The event hosted several Republican presidential candidates in one-on-one interviews with Carlson, with some moments going viral for the back-and-forths with the former Fox News host.

The New York Times headline on the event was entitled “Tucker Carlson Turns a Christian Presidential Forum Into a Putin Showcase”. Beck took exception to that encapsulation.

“I gotta tell you the press is so out of touch,” Beck said before reading the headline of the article. “‘Jesus is out Vladimir Putin is in’. Did you hear that from any candidate or anything like that from anyone on stage? Of course not. No, I did not hear that. In fact, everybody led with who was anti-war.

“I don’t like Putin. Putin is not a good guy. But I don’t think the Ukrainian president is really a good guy either. And I went as far as saying, ‘I don’t think, at this time, we’re on the right side. We’re not the good guys’. So I don’t want to send my kids to a war where I can’t identify the good guy. No. But they made it sound like it was nothing but a rah-rah for President Putin, which it wasn’t.”

Beck continued by lauding Carlson for the job he did, joining several other conservative media figures in praising the Tucker on Twitter host.
