Former Fox News host Tucker Carlson hosted a Presidential Forum for TheBlaze, and many joked that the conversation he hosted with former Vice President Mike Pence killed his campaign. Count Joe Rogan in that camp.
During a conversation with comedian Jim Gaffigan on The Joe Rogan Experience, the comedian told Rogan he wouldn’t want to be Pence during the current Republican primary.
“Did you see that interview that he did with Tucker Carlson? He was talking about the demise of the cities in America and all the problems that we have in America,” said Rogan. And (Pence) said, ‘That’s not my concern.’
“And they’re like, ‘You’re done. You just f—ed up! That’s it. No one cares about you now.’ Like he literally killed his campaign with that one conversation with Tucker Carlson.”
Pence was maligned for his answer to Carlson. As Rogan stated, several conservative commentators argued that the former Trump Vice President would not be able to rebound from the conversation with Carlson.
According to FiveThirtyEight.com, Pence was polling at 7.4% on July 14th, the day of the Presidential Forum with Carlson. As of Saturday, July 29th, Pence is polling at 4.4%.
