Former Fox News host Tucker Carlson is reportedly courting several Republican donors in a round of funding to help launch a media company.
Several reports claim Carlson has had discussions with donors like Rebekah Mercer and Peter Thiel in hopes of getting his media company off the ground.
Mercer has invested $150 million into her firm 1789 Capital in hopes of funding “non-woke” companies. Meanwhile, Thiel has reportedly told those close to him that he is considering investing in Carlson’s company after hearing a pitch from those close to the former host.
After his April ouster from Fox News, Carlson launched a video series, Tucker on Twitter, to much fanfare.
However, after seeing massive audiences in his initial episodes, Carlson’s views have dropped and wild fluctuations have been seen in his total viewership.
